This cultural event will feature nationally known poet and spoken word artist Christopher D. Sims. The event will feature poems he has written which address community and culture. Each poem will have a narrative about the culture and communities Christopher D. Sims has either helped build or experienced in his almost 50 years on this planet. Community as the centerpiece of this event will be a common thread as he recites and performs spoken word poems. Cultural expression through the art of spoken word is what Christopher specializes in and will entertain participants who partake in this poetical and cultural experience.

Christopher Sims

Christopher D. Sims is a poet, a spoken word artist, and an events host. Since the late 1990's he has been honing his craft as a poet by writing consistently and by performing all over the United States. Christopher D. Sims is a published poet, with the book Universal Citizen (2010) to his credit.
